Walk and Talk, May 10th - Penglais Pocket Park, Aberystwyth

The Bat Group have organised a walk and talk for the University's Biological Society to be held on the 10th May and would like to invite anyone who is interested to join in the fun. We will be meeting at the entrance to Penglais Pocket Park, which is opposite the main entrance to Aberystwyth University Campus at 9:00 pm.

Note to Bat Group Members, I'll be needing some help so please let me know if you can come along - much appreciated. As you can see, I've changed the time from the one in the programme as I think 8:00pm will be far too early.

Thanks Everyone

Lovely batty weather - fancy an airing?

Anyone fancy a trip to the Rheidol Valley later this week or next while the weather is so lovely? We could get our detectors out of moth balls and look for those elusive lesser horseshoes! Or perhaps we could go to Nanteos as was suggested at the meeting.

Event for your diaries

The newly formed Ceredigion Moth Group are proposing to hold a joint outing to celebrate National Moth night with Bats May 15th. They have invited our group and Teifi Bat Group. They hope to have an informal event in Greybreard's Wood (Cwm Tydi) - not for the public. They have batted there before and picked up Barbastelles...! I see this as a great opportunity to get to make some new contacts and have a great evening out. If you would like to go I will need to pass on numbers as this is private land and a private do.
